TomD< What is going to be the catalyst which moves the market value down to what can be justified by fundamentals (i.e. ~$10 per share)?>
Dam good question. I guess I want to think about that one a little longer. Off the top of my head, when Bezos runs out of money?, Aol hasn't bought him out, or just plain, his business plan (as Wall Street understands it) , failed.
Regards
HJ

And nobody who is buying the stock seems to mind. Go figure. What is going to be the
catalyst which moves the market value down to what can be justified by fundamentals
(i.e. ~$10 per share)?

Tom,

I wish to preface this post. I have no idea.

I could continue as I have making the bearish fundamental arguments. I could even state that my prediction of fundamentals deteriorating are occurring. But as you said, no one cares.

The stock is hyped by the analysts in general. I am using the word hyped here loosely. I do not know if Jamie Kiggen, Keith Benjamin and others really believe in the future of AMZN as they state in their reports. I must be so biased to the bearish side that I cannot even see how this bullish conclusion can be made. There are other bullish people out there as investors. I do not understand them although certainly feel they are entitled to their opinion.

The catalyst is the key and I do not have the foggiest. The analyst finally turn bearish, the manipulators that H, James Morris talks about start selling, insiders start selling. a secondary offering to raise more cash, etc. Your question is a large concern to me. I have been short this puppy for what seems like ages and it has cost me a fortune. I am here to play it out now but it could five years for the needed catalyst occurs. It could be Monday. I am not enjoying this stock nor the market lately. I have no answers regarding Amazon. I am frustrated which is stating the obvious. Years from now I may be proven to be correct or incorrect. I will learn something by that point. I have learned one major lesson here and that is cut losses short and move on to where one can make money. The fundamentals did not matter, do not still and this stock makes my life less enjoyable.

I try to day trade long and short. Sometimes successful sometimes not.It is time I leave my position in place, ignore AMZN and let it do what the market makes it do and move on to the semis where I suspect I can make money on the upside.

How is that for a pretty much lousy post? <G>
