One of the really clever ways to "sell" stock as an insider is to put up a block of stock as collateral for a "loan". If the nasty bank comes along later when the stock has fallen a bit in price and starts selling it out (as in "not enough collateral value"), the insider moans and screams in public and grins in the privacy of his home. I've a pal or two at the CIBC, and will ask around.
