Well, that's interesting. I don't see how the Dutch structure would benefit ADPT if it truly wanted to buy back shares and reduce the float.

On the other hand, I guess the ploy would be to have in mind acquiring only a token number of shares, but in the process nudge the open-market price higher by stimulating a "gotta get it now if I want it" mentality.

I've never seen this tactic used (but I'm not an expert in share buybacks either), but it sounds risky to me. Potentially high payback, though, if all of a sudden everyone else decides the shares are worth more to them.
