Bob, I've been with Brown for years and have watched them advance from telephone key entry to remote dial-in to internet. I've been pleased with the service.

For the past year, I've been basically only doing options and the responses and fills have been good (I use limit orders for the most part). Unfortunately, their web site does not handle spreads yet.... they tell me next month. The site is extremely easy to use for basic option orders and is available continually.

Sometimes the phone is a little slow when you want to ask a question, but they are always helpful when you get through.

Hope that helps... good luck.

Tom

Bob,

I have used Etrade for several years, and recently added Brown and Co. Compared to Etrade, the Brown and Co site is strictly business, no fluff, no extras, simply enter trade and see what positions you have. Their philosophy is do your research elsewhere and enter you trades here. At $5 a stock trade I can live with that.
