Gottfried, Jacob,I am just reading, The Gorilla Game, page 112, The main way to protect the gorilla-game portfolio from the end-of-tornado crash is to sell off the chimps long before it comes. <:>These companies do not, as a rule, come back after the crash with anything like the gorilla's vigor. As chimps come out of the tornado, they find themselves fighting a strongly empowered gorilla who is becoming increasingly networked into the rest of the industry. As long as they make no mistakes, chimps can continue their game, but as soon as they stumble, their partners desert them, and while their current customers stick by them, they find in nearly impossible to attract any new ones. This does not bode well for anyone but the gorilla."

IMO,with this downturn in the SEMI-Equip. and the above view, we may be able to get a better understanding why AMAT comes out stronger after a drop in the BTB and price. They take market share.

I wonder how the small equipmakers stay in business.

Just my opinion.
