Regardless of how Dell does, I will continue to hold Gateway. I bought long ago and plan on holding for a long time to come unless I see a fundamental shift in the PC industry. Asia will eventually rebound and companies who can weather the storm will be there to benefit when it does.

Skeeter and tippet may be right that a PC slowdown is happening and stocks will get battered. As I have a long, long time until I retire, I actually hope that prices go down in the next five years so I can buy more shares at lower prices.

But I will never sell in an attempt to time the market. Just am not the gambling type.

hjm, interesting that mike dell isn't on the soapbox... at least not yet. he is usually talking his stock up in a big way. i think expectations are very HIGH.
