I went to the CNH Holding Co. Thread and began reading I came across you post of Feb. 23, 1998. After reading it I am still more puzzled, help me out here, please.

From the paragraph below that was part of the post linked to you indicate that it was better to leave the shipping company on the table and go with the other one.

If the shipping company was not the way to go for CNH Holdings Co., why is it so good for Midland?

I agree with what you said in the CNHH post that it would be difficult for shareholders to follow in the USA. So why does this not matter now? I am confused and would appreciate you clearing this up so I can understand better.

* Would my preferred shares of Midland be good?
