The headend deal is worth $10 to $25M, over the next 2 to 3Qs. It's more significant though, if Divicom gets all of DirecTVs headend business, it's worth more than EchoStar(over $60M in 1997). DirecTV has operations in Latin America, and Japan. They have plans for Europe.

Today, the only possible DirecTV box that uses C-Cube is the Samsung box, and I have not seen it selling through retail. DirecTV boxes use a MPEG-2 decoder from SGS Thomson. It's kinda plain, but it works and it's cheap.

Advanced DirecTV boxes may use C-Cube, because of greater features/ lower cost, but that is just a guess.
