Anyone read the news about Sea Launch? Boeing has had its license suspended by the U.S. Govt due to concerns that BA shared technology with its Russian and Ukranian partners in some violation. Damn! I like the idea of Sea Launch, and am now a BA shareholder as well.

I don't understand what the problem is there. Sea Launch is there to help alleviate the launch site demand, and I would think that more supply of launch pads would be a good thing for the satellite biz since it is so damn expensive to launch a sat right now overall.
Wasn't LOR planning to use the platform as well, I think I remember reading that somewhere. Since my memory isn't so good, and I couldn't find mention of Sea Launch on the FAQ, could someone please remind me what LOR was planning to launch off of Sea Launch's platform? And also, what effect this may have on LOR. Am I correct that LOR was planning to use Sea Launch, or am I confused?

Brian,

Thanks for driving more traffic there through the Yahoo thread. I think there is something here, I'm not sure how, but if there is this much interest in an FAQ for Loral, I bet there would be just as much interest for some other companies. As I've been going over old posts on this thread to find juicy info for the FAQ, I found this from ccryder,

LOR FAQ will NOT become obsolete because it is independent. The official FAQ would not have used Readware's and other's posts, for example. Nor would they contain the breadth of topics. The official FAQ's are normally the result of one person's work. Your FAQ is the result of many, not to diminish the tremendous effort you made to put yours together, host it, and maintain it. You can't get off the hook that easily<ggg>.

I wonder if there is a business opportunity here? But the amount of work for just upkeep is staggering.
