I traded off the calls I bought this morning and now I want them back! I hope AAPL dips just a bit for me again. :-)

Eric, how do you see the earnings in January? I know we don't even have Oct yet, but do you think we will be able to sustain the sales we're seeing now?

Linda

>>Looking at the big picture, things are looking great. Apple may see some short term supply constrain problems as production lines comes online but once that has happened, it should have plenty of capacity to meet the demand. Making iMac is a relatively simple procedure. The iMac parts are easy to come by. Once all the tweaks have been made, all they need to do is add a shift or two and we'll see huge production rates in a month or two...in time for Christmas.<<

Eric, your (re)sources just keep getting better and better. Thanks for the post.

It's great to share all this enthusiasm with the members of this message board. We really did nail this one (iMac) early. Hopefully the announcement of the new 366mhz machines will give us strength tomorrow. I would expect a good bounceback day on the Nasdaq Thursday. Tomorrow is harder to predict.

As far as market share, I would think that June report is a mistake. Apple had been at 8% retail earlier in the year and that grew to 9% in both April and May. We're to believe it fell under 3% in June? Please.

Btw, Bill, it's probably time to buy Novell. Trading at less than 2x book, and NetWare 5.0 is due Sept. 20. I think one could say that NW 5.0 is Novell's G3 upgrade cycle and all the hot new products like NDS for NT, BorderManager, etc. are the iMac-type sauce.

Marc

"Workers are suppose to return in August."

I meant to say workers are expected to return on Aug 17th.
