People are waiting for direction, like me, before doing anything. Some want to exit at a higher price, the rest want to enter lower. Look at the 30 minute chart of DELL.

There has been declining volume during this drop all day. Normally this would be bullish for a reversal but since the indexes are still surging downward, everyone is on hold. Most other issues I have been looking at are doing the same. We could have a good bounce this afternoon IF an all clear signal of some sort were given. Personally, I wouldn't trust one right now though.

We are very close to a pivotal point in the market right now. The last attempt at a sell off did not extend the losses for the market bounced back. Given that many key stocks are still above supports right now, and I am talking about stocks like INTC and MSFT and GE and IBM, then I do think a bottom may be forming right now. We may not see any additional losses that will keep the market down further than it already is. Time will tell. But I am still not at all happy about the way this market is trading recently, including today. I agree this is not the sell that would set a good bottom.
