There are opportunities to make money no matter which way the market goes. Admittedly, it is more fun to focus on profiting from a healthy business than a declining one, but the opportunity is there on both sides. Sell short, buy puts or zeros.

Is the sky falling? Unfortunately that is always a question definitively answered in hindsight. I was listening to a call half an hour ago with a prominent money manager who claims this only a blip and the market will resume its upward march soon. On the other hand, I can see the potential for some very nasty sh*t out there with Russia, China, Japan, et al. Certain events in those countries would DEFINITELY have a significant impact on share prices here. Or the possibility of those events is already discounted into today's prices. Or it isn't.

Three different people turned down the offer to become Japan's finance minister. All declined. The question I have is does Japanese leadership have the political will to make the tough economic decisions. Father Time is the teller of all truths.

Limitex. You only lose money on paper until you sell! If yOU SOLD Q 6 WEEKS AGO AT 48you lost monet but if you didnt you ended up doing OK. Its the same with the stock market. Just relax, take a pill or somthing and chill out. By the way the meeting with ETSI today seems like a great movement forward!
