AMAT just said that they dont see an end to the downturn in the semi industry.

Unless Cyrix/NSM dumps the cyrix stuff, and focuses on the "core" stuff (whatever that means), its stock looks like a bottom dweller.

It will be interesting to see how boards using this chip set and a 400 Mhz K6-3 will perform against a 300 Mhz MXi. If the MXi isn't faster, who will buy it for desktop applications? This should be good news for AMD.

Also, does anyone know how IBM's 6S-2 process compares to their 6X process. NSM claims that Portland is seeing speeds equivalent to 6S-2, but 6S-2 should be slower than IBM's real 0.25u 6X process.
