OK suppose DOW goes to 7000, tomorrow. Would we still be in an uptrend? You have to have some way of judging that things have changed -- that is only one. Give it some time if it looks ambiguous to you. I think we have entered the bear market already. You don't have to agree with me, but you should know what you think is a bear market or how else will you recognize it. Does the stock market have to be cut in half? Pick your own criteria.

I think the market is a leading indicator. Economic trouble for the US is on the way.

Are things so good that they can only get better? That's the kind of foolishness AC and others are trying to sell you. What does experience tell you? If they were politicians, you'd see right through it. I've missed some gains in the last year or two, but having missed them is not going to make me believe in foolishness either.
