Jeff, shorting puts on a stock is an alternative to buying calls. For instance, when RMBS fell to 52-53 one could sell Aug 60p and collect 7-8 in prems and close the position today for 3ish when the stock retraced to 60+. Net gain of 4-5 points for the trade.

I shorted puts on RMBS ... means I'm bullish.
