Hi InSook, >Why do you like Adobe ?

Adobe is a niche player and owns there technology. The company has done what it has to do in the past to insure they are number one. For example they have bought their competition and it has been painful integrating the purchases, but this strategy has continued to insure their number one position.

Someone at SI mentioned Microsoft is going into digital software next year. It is my opinion Bill does not have the patience to build digital software that is good enough to get the job done, for instance Photoshop. It also looks like pdf file format is exploding around the internet and I know its use inside of large corporations is growing by leaps and bounds. They are building a great package to manage these pdf files.

The analyst at JPM noted in his down grade that he does not see a clear strategy at Adobe for the future. It is my opinion that if they bring the pdf file capability to the point where it has configuration management technology, and data base hook technology, it will be the technology of preference for corporations to use for managing policies and procedures as well as communication with customers and subcontractors for both internet and intranet communications.

We could look at Photoshop, which has a loyal following and will not replaced easily. Pagemaker has a large following and in my opinion the only competitor is Quark (private). I do not know how PageMill and SiteMill are doing but certainly are good products.

It is also my opinion this new management structure will give them the opportunity to make their products known in the "Microsoft/PC" world like it is know as the Mac world. The products are mature enough to get the PC nuts educated.

My gut tells me Adobe will take a hit and will have to prove to Wall Street that they are not dead. So patience in buying the stock will be profitable. MB's third position strategy should work with this one.
