The way I see it, we must see inflation this year! After my return from Texas I did a piece about the drought of 98. The conditions are Hellish there! Cotton crop 90% gone! Chicken Eggs turkey heat kills up far higher and earlier than normal. I saw dairy cattle herds and beef breeding stock being sold off due to low future prices & high hay prices. The only TX OK & NM ag products I could find unharmed were beets. (though, I did see northern states with a rather good bean crop on a later north loop). Even honey crop was about 75% off! who ever is manipulating these prices has no concern for the Average American tied to the land! There were all kinds of lay-offs in anything oil or mining related! And get ready all, just heard from a friend who said the Christmas tree harvest this year is DOA! rh
