I respectfully disagree that DRIV is a toll keeper. They are a e-commerce enabler. They set up sales systems. They make their cut off software sales just once.

WAVX is a better example of a toll keeper.

Good Point Elliot. DRIV provides the back end technology so that other sites such as cyberian outpost, microwarehouse, multiplezones, etc. can sell over the internet. In other words it doesn't matter who wins or loses in the on line retail game. It makes more sense for these companies to OUTSOURCE their Electronic Software Distribution capabilities to a distributor such as DRIV, rather than keep it in house. The on line retail companies will want to stay with their core competencies....IE: Marketing / Selling / Promoting.

Digital River gets a cut of everything sold through these on line retail companies.
