Paul

<<I campaigned for Ford and didn't support Carter, but since his presidency have grown to have a great respect for him. His volunteer work, especially with Habitat, has set a great example to all. I'm also a volunteer with our local Habitat chapter and would recommend it to all. There is no more rewarding experience than helping your
neighbors. >>

I agree with what you are saying(especially the Habitat for Humanity part)But doesnt that underscore that Christian principles by themselves are not enough to make an effective leader/politician?I would also add that the same would probably hold true for Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, principlas as well.

Perhaps politics and religion truly are uneasy bedfellows?

Dear Paul,
I think Carter took the falt for past Presidents and his integrity was difficult when dealing with people who don't even understand the word. He is still showing himself to be a true leader with Habitat for Humanity for if there is anything our country needs it is what he is doing. That will reduce crime and build people up instead of tearing them down. We have had much worse Presidents than Jimmy Carter. Also, his honesty with his brothers drinking problem led the way for others to come forward with their problem and has lead to many, many healings. I don't think this Country has ever had a more true leader than Jimmy Carter and may God bless him in all his ways.

You are to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all your mind, and all your strength and the second one is to love your neighbor as yourself with these 2 things hang ALL of the law and the prophets.
With love of Messiah,
Nancy
