I agree with you that that was one of the stupidest things I have ever heard come from any CEO- giving his statement "I'm comfortable with analysts projections for next year's estimates of.32", If anything that capped their future share price. But I don't think there was malice there, and he did come out and restate his personal estimates with a full years advanced warning....

IMO, this should have been addressed a month ago, as clearly the writing was on the wall that there wasn't much support for CKFR from partnering banks. I still remain that any law suits would prove to be futile, and with out merit. JMO, and obviously I have been wrong in the past, but none of my investment decessions here were swayed by those advanced earnings estimates.

I listened to CC and found the following positives:
[1] Pete continued to invest in future growth initiatives as opposed to crumbling to Wall Street pressures near term;
[2] MSFDC offering, while it works, is a "closed solution" which billers are not accepting;
[3] Operationally, Checkfree continues to manage with expert precision;
[4] Asset and Operations sales continued to reinforce company focus to lead the online financial services space;
[5] Pete showed he has guts, which is a sign of a leader!

As soon as the momentum players are cleared from our path, while providing an excellent buying opportunity, long term patient investors will be rewarded. Intuit owns 19% and I don't see them selling.
This is the 3rd investment opportunity in a quality company which the momentum folks have made possible recently, and I'm grateful!

GO PETE!!!!
