It's moving albeit at a slow pace,... a tad more complicated for us non-americanos to open accounts with US brokerages, but we're getting there.

I'm really exited about this move, having spoken to many MBT customers whose only "complaint" is that it is apparently a bit difficult to short stocks with them. Not a problem for me since I hardly ever short (just don't have the guts, I s'pose ;-)

I don't know what Ameritrade did, but they have gotten their act together as far as getting fill reports out quick. Seems that Datek has gotten much worse. I was ready to pull the plug on Ameritrade a few months ago--now I'm staying put.
