You said that they will be break even at 3000 batteries per day. 5 per minute = 300 per hour = 4800 per two shift day. According to the posts, Lev said "at least 50% yield." At the conservative 50% yield, that's 2400 batteries. 3000 batteries would be at 63% yield.

A brief note: Thanks Paul for posting a synopsis. It sounds like things are moving along at VLNC, but it's also clear reviewing todays trading pattern while stuck in a hotel that games are still being played. It has the look, and "feel" of a bull trap got'cha, ie take the bid down early then run it up on a tight spread, let it cool then run it down.

So be it in any case. But as was pointed out by another poster clearly VLNC ain't going anywhere until such time as they've hit their milestones and publicly announced them, PARTICULARLY those p.o.'s we're all interested in. Sooooo, if ya believe, then take the current valuation as manna from heaven and buy such amounts as you are confortable with. If ya don't, but are willing to be enticed.....then wait on corporate announcements.

One weeee smaaaall thing that disturbs me, this is at least the 2nd c.c. that L.D. has said that analysts are "just around the corner from being asked to visit." Being a player in the corporate world meself, when I've in times past heard this type of commentary from others lips, and they keep saying it as time goes by.........wellll.....the term stalling comes quickly to mind. Bottom line? Let's see those p.o.'s.

Don'tcha just luuuuv speculating?

Regards!

John~

<<Understand that these batteries must meet 500 charge/discharge cycles>>.... This is a point that is not quite clear to me. In the past, we've heard that OEM's would require 300 cycles. Now the latest curves from Valence shows their battery is capable of 500. Have the OEM's raised their requirement to 500 now, I wonder, or are they perhaps paying a premium for this and therefore demanding that this number be met?

Also, I would think that the company will quarantine the samples from NI for 30 days, simply because they can't afford to risk sending out samples that are flawed. Wouldn't look very good to potential customers if some lemons turned up.
