I've never had that problem with E-Schwab, but I don't trade as much as you. I very rarely use market trades except when trading options if I really want to get filled and don't mind missing a fraction to be sure of a trade.

I have @home and Etrade-- I get booted off after a few minutes (from Etrade) because @home switches ISDN's for security.

Do you have that problem?

i can tell you a system not to use, Web Street Securities. very disorganized personel. screw up everything from wire transfers to overcharging on commissions. they overcharged me $940 in commissions one month. it took me two weeks and hours on the phone to straighten it out. SR
