I read this message on the BGO thread. It is a gem. It is a fundamental ingredient in content that comprised our DD and led us to pursue other avenues which resulted in our conclusions regarding MDIN's future :To: Elizabeth Andrews (9643 )

Interesting comment, but you wrong are in drawing a parallel with Refugio to Andacolla. Dayton's problems are with their ore body, old workings, grade control and metallurgy that are difficult to hide and resolve {not to mention law suites, financial and shareholder issues}. Refugio's problems are all mechanical, related to the original Flour Daniel construction and easily be fixed. The ore body is extremely homogenious with no difficult metallurgical hurdles and doesn't at all depend on high grade veins to make it work. Refugio also has incredible potential to expand unlike Dayton's operations I just wish Kinross and Bema will commit to a long term growth objective, and for Dayton to rid their problems and operate their operation like it should.
