So the preferred holders are converting into common at these low prices because they expect the value of the value of the common to be worth more than holding the preferred stock.<< It's an interesting spin but it appears more shares were coming onto the market during the conversion time forcing the price lower. This leads one to believe that some of those converted shares were being sold. Of course, this is only conjecture.
