Sorry my message confused you. It was written before the coffee was ready<grin>.

Agenda: none in particular other than what was stated in the message -- long (for many months) ... bored ... reminded info re TokyoMex posting ... etc.

I guess it's important to realize that "bullish" and "exercising (semi-) floorless convertibles are not mutually exclusive. Usually they point in different directions, but in this case they may not.

Chris, In order to respond to your query on RNTK's floorless, I'll have to study the details, but I have posted my opinion on RNTK when it was well above 2. If I can do that over the weekend, I'll post it. There was an anti shorting clause in the first floorless, but as people at AIPN will tell you (where the same anti shorting clause existed) the floorless have ways around this clause. By the way, AIPN went from 7 to 1 under the pressure of the floorless. After WXSO, IO thought you would avoid the floorless as a rule of investment independently of the rosy prospects a company might have. A floorless means that normal financing avenues are closed to the company and it is a big red flag. It is not worth the risk that in one out of 100 cases, the stock does not collapse (I a am still looking for that one in a hundred cases where the stock did not collapse).

I agree with your analysis that even if the converters were covering a short now that this is better than the spiral scenario.
