Ditto Sonny! Your analysis is consistent with today's price action. Plus there is an ENORMOUS amount of cash sitting on the sidelines. 1.5 billion flowed into MF's just last Friday. Alot of capital has been taken out of the market in the last few weeks, where is all of this cash going to go, bonds, gold? HA! It's going to go into the "New Public Network", the fastest growing emerging market in the world!

Sonny, you're probably right. As I wrote, I don't really anticipate a large drop (ala SRA). Besides the article, my sale was also influenced by overall market/foreign jitters, not holding on Fridays in August (I just got killed last year), and Clinton's testimony on Monday. I remain very positive on ASND's fundamental prospects.

all, just count the days till oct 1st. couple this with strong
fundamentals, + all the money managers (e.g. the article djane put
up about the money show) waiting on the sidelines expecting a takeover. Expectation, leads to buying ASND. Asia turmoil or no
turmoil. I am holding till LU buys me out. Immi

Sonny, for someone willing and able to watch the stock minute to minute, there will be ample opportunity to re-enter lower than 49 (I assume djane is out somewhere near this). It might not reach 44-45 again (unless we see the DOW below 8000) but we will see 47-48. Maybe even today.

Sonny, to follow up. My intention was to post my thoughts and trading (not long-term) call as someone who fairly closely follows ASND and to invite critique. I carefully read your response and believe it has some merit. The power of SI at its finest.

P.S. I desperately want the power to drive ASND up and down 5 points at will. Maybe SI threadsters should form a consortium to do a hostile takeover of the SJ Mercury and Knight-Ridder so we can plant stories at will <<gg>>?

Sonny,
I trade full time and watch Ascend like a hawk.
Today the AMEX MMs bought 1000 Dec. 50 puts and sold 1000 Dec.50 calls. That is a bearish trade and the MMs are usually right.
Also, there is heavy action in the Sept. 40 puts: over 4000 traded.

Additionally, from a technical standpoint, ASND broke its ascending trendline on July 31 and has been unable to move back into the channel. It is in a sideways to down(trend) now.

I love this stock and have made all kinds of money trading it.
Right now, the best way to trade asnd is from the short side.
I will say, however, that we should see a solid rally in Sept. in anticipation of The Lucent deal.

Just my $.02,
