AOL, and SPLS (which executed) are not faring well today. ABT is still up but losing ground slowly. I've got 4% stops in place, so I'm not worried, but this market is making it really hard to make money.

Thomas, Re: The Dale correspondence

Thank you very much for the response! I've been digesting your comments and think I now have a handle on your methodology.

I'm going to study up on the flags, etc. I've not spent any time with them as my initial focus has been on MACD, Stoch, etc..

In your "Sell Rules": If one of the rules (other than the passing back thru 75) triggers and you sell your position do you wait till you get another buy signal for that stock (stoch > 25, etc.) or do you look for others with a buy signal?

I guess the first law of short term trading money management (preserve capital) prevents you from riding out the trade till it passes back thru 75? (BTW all of my back testing shows that if you were to wait the gains would be much better - but you'd be exposing yourself to a potential bit of nastiness)

Thanks again for the time you took!

Will respond further after more study.

Thomas, I deeply appreciate your effort explaining technical part of your calls (your response to Dale) "....Hope this helps (I was looking for a good opportunity to summarize my system, now that I am back in the game)" WOW -- nice four page write up!! I enjoy reading these things over and over. Thanks.

As for market, I was wrong today. I thought we were heading higher for few days; I gave it till Labor Day before having a very very negative day! Well, what is for tomorrow? Where else is problem in the world <ggg>?
