Seems like we are definitely in a bear market! Things go up early in the morning and then sellers rush in to sell and get out!

Semis are being beaten up badly (and especially LSI which after all the discussions I still really do not understand why Wall Street is picking on LSI)! I sincerely hope LSI does not break the $18 price otherwise it will truly have a negative moral effect on a lot of old time holders of the stock!

The only good thing I see in this market at this time is the number of companies announcing they are either in the process of buying back their shares at their current prices (e.g. VLSI), or are planning to start buying back their shares. And this is not limited to just semi companies but throughout the market.

K: I agree with you in your analysis of Gumport's figures. That is as intellectually dishonest as it gets. The correct figure is down about 3% rather than up 22%. He should print a retraction. I did find other parts of his article interesting
