Never have you been more wrong! The integration has barely begun and the bloodshed and losses are yet to come. CPQ have lost their edge and have become a bloated bureaucracy...they don't know what their core competency is anymore. As an investment, CPQ will flounder for some time, while Dell pulls away. CPQ is where IBM was before Gerstner took over. Who will be Compaq's Gerstner ?

Yeah thanks sure, what else might you recommend besides selling Dell and buying CPQ? Much obliged for looking after our interests.Very glad to see there are still people out there who actually cares in this wicked world of ours.

Luc-

You need to do a little reading up on analyst recommendations and how the system works.....This whole system is a crock (very few stocks are ever rated "sell" and there is a vast overweighting towards "buy" and "outperform" for most issues).....

Dell has (quite often) not been among (many) analyst favorite picks.....The results, as they will again on Tuesday, speak for themselves...

So sell DELL and jump in CPQ train. First Zalesky, now you. Tell me: why is the CPQ lunatic fringe invading the DELL thread? Why don't we just wait until next Friday to see which stock has shown a greater percentage advance?

BTW, congratulations! I see that your CPQ has finally gotten back to where it was last October/November.

Luc, you are a master analyst if I ever saw one. Great job! Keep on buying Compaq. I'm sure that eventually you'll make the money back that you've lost in it.

As for DELL, I think I'll risk some of my 2500% return and sit on it through earnings. Thanks anyway for the sage words of wisdom.

>>So sell DELL and jump in CPQ train.<<

I don't have a parachute. Besides, the Dell Jet is going to be flyin' too high and too fast.

Don't trains need a track?

Luc, that's a sound strategy. DELL's down vs. CPQ today, so dump DELL? You're going to go far with such analytical and forward- looking vision.

Do you do an investment newsletter? I'd love to subscribe to learn the other tricks of the master investors like yourself.

Your so great!

Luc, you're noticeably (and pleasantly) absent from the thread today after giving DELL such a hard time on Friday. Have you had a change of heart? Inquiring minds want to know.
