Eddie,

The information came from the CPQ online store. In other words, it is CPQ published information.

By the way I phoned CPQ and the ATI 3D card has only 2MB of memory compared with DELL's 8MB 3 D board.

CPQ does not have next day service on the 3-year service plan.
CPQ will service you on site when their repair agent gets around to you. So it could be a week or more. This is according to the CPQ sales person I spoke with.

Also, CPQ does not specify the speed of its HD on the Presario.
The salesperson told me that CPQ does not give them that information and that she had been asked the question before.

When I tried to get an optional configuration from the salesperson, she told me that you can not order these machines in custom configurations. If you want more memory or some other options other than the std machine that you order the parts from tech support and then you have to plug them in yourself.

Summary:

You get less machine for more money and less real service from CPQ.

CPQ does not yet have BTO for the Presario 5030.

DELL is less expensive with a more powerful machine and a better service policy.
