John, I asked Schwab about options and the ex rights effect. According to them, options are for the stock. If the stock goes ex rights this does not effect the options. I have yet to track options at the time of an offering going ex rights, but if this is correct it could be an way to make some profit on a put option since sfe usually trades down after it goes ex rights. Does anyone have any actual experience. Good luck to all.
