How is Microsoft going to be entering rough waters?

They are:

1. A monopoly.
2. Going to come out of the goverment lawsuit pretty much unscathed.

And these two statements don't seem a little contradictory to you?

3. Coming out with NT5 next year.

Lots of people (Gartner Group, Aberdeen Group, others) are saying 2000, perhaps 2001 before a usable version.

The rest of your points are somewhat valid.

Joe,
There is no reason to argue with people like Chr..ley, who just tried to hype down the stock and knew nothing about the industry and company, especially when she said
MSFT is topped out and will be in rough water without any solid data to back her
statement. I count those simple statements as "NONSENSE ". But I knew she also has
a right to post on this thread, even though what she posted were all garbage !!!!
