Mike,

An ema is an exponential moving average and is generally more useful than an enema. While not germane to investors with a real long-term horizon, TA can enhance the probability of a successful trade.

The sundry discussions and judgemental flames at SI over investing vs trading, FA vs TA, etc ... are much like discussions about one's sexual preference. There is no right or wrong way, just whatever works best for one in the overall context of things.

Now what is this 90/10 strategy you are referring to? Is this a strategy that allowed you to phase into a position while the trade moved 40 points against you (as in cci) and still make profits at the end?
