Dave: Regarding Asia, please note my post Message 5503768

Regarding the asteriod, it depends on how big it is and on where it is going to land.

Regarding Cendant, I will be very surprised if TLC is a purchaser. However, my argument about software price increases seems valid.

watchful signs for a decline in TLC:

1)more insiders selling especially as the end of the 60 day freeze on mgmt options nears,
2) over hang of all convertible shares with expiring conversion dates,
3) head & shoulders chart emerging,
4) retailing going flat especially if the flip side of the wealth effect of stockmarket kicks in,
5) revenue expansion by the use of mail in rebates is signalling trouble within the industry,
6) more & more investors examine why TLC does not use "net revenues"
on the op stmt, and watch the impact of high returns.

investors will pay dearly for all the hype.

I would think TLC could have Y2K exposure - of a positive kind. If people own software that no longer works right, they will have to replace it.
