To anyone,

I have a serious question about the spin off. When is the date of ownership of the stock that makes one eligible for receiving spin off shares. I have assumed it is the same date of the actual spin off. Otherwise, if I buy in the period in between, will I be paying for the spun off portion ofthe company, but not receiving the dividend. I don't know for sure that the stock will automatically go down after spin of, but theoretically it should since we are losing some valuable assets.
