Actually, I tried the WYW demo before, and it worked just as well then as it does now.

I just went there again, but with my cable modem, the download of the game was completed before Netscape had time to start Java.

I fail to see what is unique about this. ANYBODY can do this. Once your browser has started downloading, you are free to do whatever you want in the browser window.

So, "while you wait technology" is really nothing more than using the good sense to design a web page that has content that will keep you busy while you are waiting for the download.

There is no unique technology here. EchoMedia has simply recognized the obvious, and made much ado about it.

Yawn.
