I agree with your suggestions as noted:

1) Absolutely right! I don't get why a company would feel anymore comfortable answering a voice on a phone than a "voice" on a chat group.

2) Perhaps self-defeating. Companies are supposed to disclose when they use a promoter but they seldom do. How would this be enforced? Ultimately, do you feel that any of these "undeclared shills" carry any weight? After a while a regular reader sort of discredits what an obviously overenthusiastic poster says.

Ultimately I think the group mentality gets a chat group into trouble. I believe the same bravado would break out on a conference call to the company. The hard questions are hard to answer whether they are posted or verbalized.

I like your suggestions. It would be like a real estate person, they have to identify themselves as real estate people when they list their own houses.
