David
Trey has been around for years on the Micron BB.
Actually most of his calls are very good.
He has been both long and short MU over the years.
For one so young, he has great insight into the market.

He will be rich and posting here long after you, I and MB
are gone.

david--

oh, yes i remember how much you disliked achilles even when it was abundantly clear that it was right, and AICE lagged it by two weeks or more.

in this instance, achilles could have told you that DRAM prices were rising BEFORE robbiestephens, et al., started to hype. it would have supported your bullish case.

you have for a long time, at least as long as i can remember, been more adamant about the positives than the negatives. look, at your term forever bear...this is a complete misnomer. there is not a single person on this thread that does not look objectively at MUs position. the unltimate goal is to make money, and ignoring data does not make that possible.

the problem is that we see things a little differently than you, and we do not have the same mentality you do when it comes to trading. you are in and out of positions in hours. i on the other hand may take weeks. its a difference in psychology. to me, the extraneous things like a momentary upturn in DRAM pricing, are irrelevent. now, a long term trend would be of a great deal of interest. we have not established such a trend.

so, before you castigate me or someone else further, please understand that we DO see what you are saying. our position is that it doesnt matter. as for shorting, i dont (only puts), and most of my position was sold last week. i am buying more with the profits now.

but, lets get back to these positive fundamentals...
1) DRAM pricing...a long term trend has not been established.
2) shutdowns...this could change at any time. MU is a beneficiary. in other words, the company is still at the mercy of the asians.

what else have i missed? if there is something you would like to add to the list, please do.

good luck to all,
trey
