Does anyone know the sucess rate of company management of stopping preferred stock/debt. conversions? So far I have not seen that much sucess with companies trying to stop the conversions once it gets started. Have heard of management(Usually same ones that created the mess) through certain legal manuvers try to stop it but it seems like at the very end it always fail.

Dr. Hed, yes I saw the $35 million in the 6/26/98 S-3 filing. And, in my most humble opinion I think you have a most vivid imagination.

Sir, if, and I repeat if, you are so certain about a conspiracy between the management of HEC and your so called "floorless bandits",
here are some telephone numbers I think you can put to use:

S.E.C. - Washington, D.C. .....1-202-942-4150
Amer. Stock Exchange. N.Y.C., NY ...1-212-306-1000
(ask for market surveillance)
N.A.S.D.....1-800-89-9999
Harken Energy ....1-972-753-6900
Mr. Larry E.Cummings - VP/Secretary/General Counsel

Unless, of course, you wish to use the wiggle room you left yourself in your last sentence..."Conspiracy? Not necessarily, but a defacto helping hand to the bandits? I think it is quite possible.".

I have read all of your posts on this topic.

I wish you the best in all of you future investments.

Best,
