Alex,

<<"where all the ex-yuppies are">> Earning more than I once thought possible, spending much, much, more than I ever thought possible.

"The Yuppie" was once sort of a crystallized hate-object among a certain fringe among which I once dabbled. I suppose what we had in mind, to the limited extent to which we had anything in mind, was the villain in "Wall Street". The greedy speculator that squeezes everything and produces nothing, or some such thing. I suppose there really were some like that, there probably still are. But I doubt that they were as prevalent or as destructive as we thought at that time. Of course the world looks different from this side of the ocean (lived overseas for last 18 years), and second-hand perception is seldom reliable. Which I suppose I ought to remember more often.
