LC, This was never a male/female issue. The entire mess just proves that politicians/lawyers including Hillary and Willy are all a bunch of liars.

speaking of Hillary...she was great in the role of staunch loyal defender of hubby, defender against the "vast right wing conspiracy", etc. But I don't picture Hillary blossoming in the role of betrayed spouse. So my guess is that she will buck up, put on a courageous face, and find new reserves of strength. She'll need some time before she jumps back in front of Sam Donaldson, but she'll be there, although she won't be claiming that her husband always tells the unvarnished truth, always, no questions asked. That at least will be part of the new take. Clinton was not likable tonight, IMO. He came off as sullen and combative. Anyone remember where that attitude got Gary Hart? voice tight, on the verge of breaking out into heated anger: "it's nobody's business but ours. Even Presidents have private lives". translation: Get out of our face! If I want to do up interns in the White House, I'll do just that! Granted the guy is under pressure from his stories getting tangled up. But that's the Wrong Attitude. Way wrong. He acted like it was all someone else's fault. Oh, except the part for which he "took responsibility for". One thing he is responsible for is Hillary and Chelsea. He needn't worry. My guess is that Hillary and Chelsea will come out of this looking like heroes, just for sticking around.
