Jim: The nice thing about driving a 911 is that you don't have to go fast. There's something nice about letting a beat up Chevy Nova beat you off the line. The few people sharing the intersection know the real potential.
Sort of like FNTN. Those of us who have been following the story for awhile know what's under the hood. When nobody's watching it will show it's stuff on the open road.
Then.

Wally

PS - I hope my next license plate reads "FNTN4EVR"

Wally,

50% of me agrees 100%, The other half says he's never lived in Germany. I driven over 100K miles in Germany. It's very hard for someone who's never been there to comprehend how the Germans can drive 80 Mph - 140 Mph all the time and not have accidents. I've only seen one accident on the Autobahn, that was caused by driving to fast in the
Fog.

I made a trip of 250 miles, just about every other weekend, (unless I was on my way to Formula 1 race in Monte Carlo, Spa, Hungaro Ring, or off to France for the 24hrs Du Lemans) on average it would take 2hr 35min. I enjoyed the Ride every time.

Of course, I always had the best tires on on the car, my As_ is worth the money.

Europe is small, I could be in Paris in 6hrs, Amsterdam 5hrs, Monte Carlo/Nice 10hrs. I live near Cape Canaveral, middle of Florida, and it takes 10hrs to drive to Pennsacola!

Why the Germans can Drive fast without accidents.

a) It takes 6 months to get a license

b) The Germans obey the law, one rule, NO Passing on the Right. And one does.

c) If a car behind you in the left lane is going faster than you, they move to the right as soon as possible.

d) At midnight Friday though Midnight Sunday, no trucks on the Autobahn.

e) Germans still retain Morals, and Values.

Needless to say, driving on a US Interstate drives me up a wall.
Regards,
JW@KSC

P.S. If some American GI with a hot American car wanted to Race, I'd say sure from here to X (100 miles away). I knew it would overheat, or blowup.

My next license plate should say TNKS-HARRY
