Peter,

<As we all know, the world has a great deal of bigger issues with which we should all be focused on.>

Trying to raise children with an example like Bill as president in office is a very big issue as well! If he can lie about a sexual affair then why not lie about other things as well! Let's all tell our kids it's OK to lie if it pertains to private issues and see how far young adults will take that! Drugs could be a private issue? Yes it is against the law, but so is adultery! Want more examples? Better wake up and see what this country was based on! That's my soap box!

Hank

" It is appalling that all of us are so fixated on this guy's infidelity."

i wouldn't feel so appalled if i were you. you sound kinda' preachy to me, anyway.

some of us are disgusted (if not fixated)with the man's ability to look into the camera (i.e. the american public)and lie like a damn snake. had he said, "my sex life is none of your damn business", i'd have applauded his candor. but the relative ease with which he switches from "i didn't" to "i did", and without changing expression or tone of voice, is disconcerting.

if you are of a mind that, " the world has a great deal of bigger issues with which we should all be focused on", i would submit to you that you have missed the frightening point, along with the fixated masses that appall you.

btw, i'm curious... you give me the impression that you think bill clinton is truthful in all other aspects of his presidency, but just not in his personal life. hmmmm. how many people do you know in your life who lie about one thing, but you trust them and have faith in them in other things? if your answer is "none", then why accept less from the leader of the nation?

Hello Peter.

>> Now Starr thinks he is the defender of the realm by trying to prove that Clinton suborned perjury in a case totally unrelated to Whitewater. It is politically motivated, and that is innappropriate [sic] for the special prosecutor.

Lest some folks misconstrue your comments to imply otherwise, I believe that Ms. Reno, or the court of record, asked the special prosecutor to investigate each and every incident/event that Starr has had under investigation. The special prosecutor has no authority to pick and choose which issues s/he examines.
