Well if I were convinced that he really did try to get Monica to lie under oath.Now look I know that you will have a hard time understanding this.But my main complaint would be that if he did try to get Monica to lie under oath he would be in effect telling her to put her self at risk to save his own skin.This would identify him as everything that the people on this thread say he is.Now for the part that you wouldn't understand.Again I say that this shouldn't have been an issue in the first place,consenting adults and all that.Thus all the wiggling and whatever to save him self is just part of politics and I except this stuff as part of the business.[as long as he doesn't take Monica down with him] If you don't understand that I think you are fooling your self.He just got caught. About his speech,why would that change anything?He said nothing that we didn't already know .They had sex and he lied about it.We all knew that before didn't we?Everone except Greenpeace that is.I think a lot of the problems some of you had with the speech is that he didn't grovel,humiliate himself enough for you.This BTW was his take on what the American public wanted to here.We shall see .In no way do I take what I read on this thread as the pulse of public opinion. pez
