Alright well I dont want to get into an argument about this because I consider myself to be ill informed. I just dont remember what was going on, I only know that the CEOs in this area wanted Bush out of there - based primarily on economic issues involving the asian tigers. It was highly unusual to see widespread support for a democratic candidate from the business leadership, and I can assure you that if they felt the republican was even competant he would have been their man. So Clinton got the red carpet treatment out here. And then, when Dole was running, those same issues came up again on TV ads etc. - chip dumping allowed during the Reagan administration blah blah blah. So the point is, right or wrong there is a perception among this new group of business leaders that the WWII crowd just doesnt get the economic climate we live in.
