ya and no. HANG HIM is the common refrain in this house,
but since he doesn't run the country we can afford to live
with our mistake. I'm so damned gullible that I believed
what they taught me in school, namely that our system is
supposed to be able to survive human mediocrity and weakness.

in the past few decades we've had, in order:

an egomaniacal idiot
an plain jane idiot
a righteous idiot
an unbelievable over the top idiot
a homicidal idiot
and finally a lascivious idiot
