It's already too late.

This thread has become like the caretaker's house in a cemetery...just before the living dead start to stir.

They are coming and no one can stop them.

Just don't get bit.

Tom C--<<Hey everyone! Gary is right, we are now on the Hot Subjects list. Please, everyone shape up and be on your best behavior from this point forward.>>
I hate to say this but how do you think this thread got on the Hot Subjects list? Nothing like a couple of vicious attacks followed by some posters getting the Graybar or the boot to move you up.
A couple more thin skinned ravers and we will be Number 1!
All the Best
Druss

I would like to make a formal nomination of a member in the category of "Original Moron." I trust this nomination will be properly adjudicated according to the current laws and bylaws of Thread Morons.

I think it may be useful to break out the Morons into categories. No single moron should be able to own a category forever, with the single exception of Original Moron, since there can logically be only one original. Title holders in other categories may lose their position, if and only if a new nominee is elected in that category. Of course no one could ever take away from them the fact that they did hold that position for some specific period of time.

I also think that a candidate moron should be eligible in more than one category. Or you should at least be able to nominate them to more than one category. Then, perhaps the voters could choose which category should stick.

Finally, I think we should consider the possibility that even a truly qualified moron may at some point be rehabilitated. I know it's unusual, but it can happen. Therefore, after an appropriate period of time any Moron should have the opportunity to demonstrate such rehabilitation and be returned to his/her useful place in society. It is often the case that a Moron demonstrates his recovery by displaying knowledge of and insight into his/her own moronic behavior. Therefore, important weight should be given to an admission of such guilt and apology to the community. Perhaps some civic work might be required also.

And now ladies and gentlemen,
In the category of "Original Moron," could it be any other than our very own Len, the originator of Thread Moron himself?
Need I say more?

Len is also nominated in the category of "Situational Moron."
A Situational Moron is a seemingly reasonable person, except when you mess with their Sacred Cow. Then they go nuts on you. In this case the sacred cow is SI. A symbol of much of what is important to him. And a place through which he finds fulfillment in what may be his most meaningful contribution to society: SI's Thread Moron.
Synopsis:<b/>
In classical moronic style he comes out of left field, flinging every petty rhetorical device in his very very tiny book. Then, when he is asked to be accountable for his statements, and presented with the facts, he produces the classic Moron post: The Pseudo Response. No facts, no information content. No issues dealt with. The ultimate weapon of the situational moron which consists of the "Hit and Run", combined with the "By the way I not going to respond to you holding me accountable for my statements because I will obviously look like a bigger moron if I actually engaged in a rational conversation on the topic."

I know you said no arguments but...

If you feel the need to argue with a moron just ask yourself why would anyone argue with a moron?

A..uh...friend wants to know:

What if I have deduced that I am the moron? How will I be able to ask myself the question without breaking the rule?

Of course I myself will be able to follow one of your other guidelines:"Don't get engaged to a moron"...as I have been married for some time.
