Hey all, I just noticed this article that may indirectly apply to AIME down the road and hopefully MUCP as well.

AOL chooses Infospace over Banyan

By Darren Chervitz, CBS MarketWatch Last Update: 6:19 PM ET Aug 28, 1998

Listen to Internet Daily

One company's loss becomes another's gain. On Friday, Banyan Systems Inc. said its Switchboard unit's White Pages contract with America Online Inc. will not be renewed when it expires at the end of November. AOL (AOL) has instead chosen to go with Infospace.com, which filed for an initial public offering Thursday. Infospace and AOL signed a three-year deal in which Infospace will pay AOL a quarterly fee as well as a portion of ad sales generated by the listing service. As is typical for AOL, the online service may also take an equity stake in Infospace.com. According to Securities and Exchange Commission documents, AOL was issued 989,916 Infospace warrants redeemable for shares at $12.

Meanwhile, Banyan also said that it's reviewing with AOL whether it will continue to provide the online service with Switchboard's Yellow Pages directory services and AdStudio offerings. Banyan (BNYN), whose shares plummeted 31 percent Friday, said the White Pages on AOL account for about 35 percent of Switchboard's total traffic and 20 percent of its ad sales. Banyan said AOL will remain a 10 percent shareholder in the company.

If you all recall, AIME announced on July 24th that they had entered into a strategic partnership with Infospace. biz.yahoo.com

This AOL connection could promise some interesting market opportunities for AIME.
