I originally had PrimeCo in Dallas and switched to Sprint because it was cheaper and offered non-long-distance calls to Austin, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio, which at the time PrimeCo didn't offer. You are correct in your assessment of Sprint; it's a second-rate system build out. I have dropped calls on the MAJOR expressway that goes from downtown Dallas to the toney North Dallas suburbs. That is ridiculous. Sprint just isn't spending the bucks to build out a first-class system, IMHO. Nevertheless, it's an acceptable system because it's cheaper and offers better long-distance coverage since it's in the major cities.
